Abstract

This quantitative study discussed; Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs for faculty members in technical colleges, as the problem was evident in the insufficiency of the training programs implemented during the year, the programs are few and do not meet the needs of the trainees, and they do not take into account the global trends in the field of information technology. Therefore, the study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs provided by the Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Labor to faculty members in light of its objectives, according to the Hammond model, and also to find out the statistically significant differences towards the training, according to the variables: the gender, Technical colleges, and trainees' years of experience. The study adopted the descriptive / evaluation approach. The study population consisted of (338) faculty members at the technical colleges, a random sample consisted of (170) members. The researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (39) statements divided into four axes. The study findings were: The training programs for faculty members have achieved the objectives with a moderate degree, where the arithmetic mean of the tool’s axes as a whole is (3.18). The findings indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the use of training due to the two variables of gender and years of experience, while differences were found due to the faculty variable, in which Nizwa Technical College came first.
