This quantitative study aimed at uncovering
the reasons of weak professional motivation among 11th and 12th grade teachers
from the point of view of the teachers themselves in Al-Batinah North
Governorate. It also aimed at finding proposals to overcome the causes of weak
professional motivation, thereby increasing teachers' motivation to work. The
researcher felt the problem through direct observation in the daily work; when
I found weakness in the motivation of teachers to work, it became clear in
several things, including frequent absence, and the lack of renewal in teaching
methods and others. To confirm the problem study, the researcher conducted a
survey, found several reasons behind the weakness of professional motivation of
teachers and teachers. In order to achieve these goals, a questionnaire was
formed consisting of (40) paragraphs divided into four axes, which were
distributed to the sample of the study consisting of (371) teachers. The study
concluded that the paragraphs of the questionnaires indicated all the reasons
for the weak motivation among the teachers were all between the very high and
high. One of the most important axes of weakness of motivation is the axis of
the causes of the educational system. In addition, one of the main reasons for
the decline of teachers' motivation is the weakness of the media role in
enhancing the teacher's status and highlighting his role in raising
generations. The study came out with a number of recommendations, including the
application of the credit hours system in grades 11 and 12 as a pre-university
stage.
