The study aimed to identify the school's role in developing the creative thinking skills of gifted students in
UNESCO affiliated schools in Dhofar Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The study adopted the
descriptive approach as a study method. The size of the study population was (110) male and female
teachers in UNESCO-affiliated schools in Dhofar Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, and a simple
random sample of (86) participants was selected, according to the tables of Christie and Morgan (1970). A
questionnaire consisting of (29) statements distributed in (5) axes was used. The study reached the following
results: The role of the school in developing the creative thinking skills of gifted students in secondary
schools affiliated with UNESCO; With a (high) response rate, the role of each of (the teacher, school
administration, activities, school environment, and curricula) was to develop the creative thinking skills of
gifted students with a (high) response rate as well.
