Copyright and Open Access

Author's Copyright
International Journal of Language and Translation Studies do not ask the authors of the manuscripts published since 2023 to transfer their copyrights to our journal. Authors (or their employers) retain the copyright. The journal accepts the publication under the CC BY-NC license requested from the authors. All manuscripts published by International Journal of Language and Translation Studies (regardless of who funds the research) are published as open access and reuse is permitted in accordance with the terms of the CC BY-NC open access license.

The authors own the copyright to their manuscripts published in International Journal of Language and Translation Studies, and their manuscript is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). The CC BY-NC 4.0 license permits the manuscript to be shared, copied, reproduced in any size and format other than for commercial use, and adapted, including re-editing, transforming, and building upon the original manuscript, with proper attribution.
While the authors upload their manuscript to the online system of our journal, they read the following copyright agreement and upload a wet signed copy to the journal system. "Copyright Notice Text" is given as an appendix.

Open Access is when publications are freely available to anyone online with few restrictions on reuse. The unrestricted share of research is especially important to authors, readers and funders. For this reason, our journal's open access policy is as follows:
1. The author(s) retains the copyright of the manuscript and gives the first publication right to the journal.
2. Articles in International Journal of Language and Translation Studies are published as open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
3. International Journal of Language and Translation Studies believes that for open access to work effectively, user rights and copyright ownership must be accessible through licensing.
4. Authors can send the published version of their article to an institutional archive or library by referring to the journal in which the article was published. However, for commercial users or commercial use, permission must be obtained from the Authors.
5. The articles indicate the CC BY-NC license.
6. The full texts of all the articles published in International Journal of Language and Translation Studies can be accessed via instant open access at https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/lotus.
