PARENTS’ RESPONSE TO IMPLEMENTING EDUCATION ACROSS EDUCATIONAL PLATFORMS IN THE GOVERNORATE OF SOUTH AL SHARQIYAH IN THE SULTANATE OF OMAN: CHALLENGES AND CONTROL FACTORS

Öz

The research aims to know the response of parents of students to the application of education through educational platforms, in the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah in the Sultanate of Oman, and the challenges they face and ways to address them. The research community consisted of (22777) students' parents, and a stratified random sample of (378) parents was selected. To achieve the objectives of the research, a questionnaire consisting of (35) phrases was developed, distributed among the dimensions of the research, using the descriptive analytical approach. The challenges facing parents in dealing with educational platforms were between great and very large at the overall level of the axis, and at the level of all phrases. The arithmetic averages of the control factors followed by students' parents in facing the challenges of education across educational platforms were significant at the overall level of the axis and at the level of all phrases. The researchers recommended the necessity of providing laptops or smart (portable) devices that contain a built-in digital library stored in the devices, without the need to connect them to the Internet. Implementation of training workshops for parents on the use of educational platform technology.
