Abstract
The study aimed to discuss the role of the endowment in supporting aspects of education. He presented the advantages achieved by the endowment in developing education. Presenting the formulas for endowments in universities and scientific research. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method, which is concerned with collecting, analysing and discussing ideas, in addition to the inductive method: which is concerned with judging the whole by collecting the details of its constituent parts. The study reached the following results: The endowment is one of the most important institutions that had an effective role in the development of education, when it achieved endowment funds: an endowment for schools, an endowment for libraries, an endowment for teachers, and an endowment for students when the endowment covered the learners’ needs for various educational supplies. The Islamic Endowment has achieved to exempt learners from tuition fees, and to make education available and open to all. Paying tuition fees for students within (Qardh Al-Hassan). Developing curricula and curricula, the role of the Islamic endowment in financing studies and research. There are many suitable formulas for the endowment, the proceeds of which benefit universities and scientific research. Among the most prominent formulas are: investing the endowment asset, whether real estate or movable property, or investing the rents resulting from its exploitation. Parking money in investment portfolios. Endowment funds. Stopping shares in joint stock companies. Finally, stop participating.
