methodological aspects of making a model in general comprise the application of
different scientific methods. In the current case, management of buildings
condition, the appropriate methods are related to the architectural and
construction features of buildings, to the energy savings gained through
improvement of the outer elements (walls, floors, roofs), and to investment appraisal.
The general question is how to combine these methods in order to elaborate an
overall model which may be used irrespectively of the type of the building
(housing, administrative, production or agricultural).
